History
of black tea leaf cultivation in Iran dated back to over 100 years.
First time, in 1900, it was brought to Iran from India by Mr. Kashef-al-saltaneh,
which was later famed as Tea Father of Iran.
Since earlier, tea cultivation was under coverage and exploitation
of private & free lance sector of tea. In 1958 (equivalent to
1338 Iranian Calendar) tea cultivation became state government monopoly.
Since 2000, cultivation of tea was conveyed to the private sector
(1379 Iranian calendar) in order to improving quality and achieving
suitable rank (status) in domestic and overseas markets.
